Terms of use

These terms cover Squeaky, the Windows app, and cleanyourmedia.com. By installing or using Squeaky you agree to them.

What Squeaky does

Squeaky is software that edits files you bring to it, on your own computer: it reads a video or audio file and writes a modified copy next to it. It does not provide, stream, host or distribute any content.

Your files are your responsibility

• Only process files you own or otherwise have the right to modify.
• Clean copies are for your own personal use. Don’t share or distribute copies of content you don’t have the rights to.
• Squeaky does not remove copy protection (DRM), and you must not use it to try to.

Licenses

• Your first 3 cleaned files are free. After that, a paid license is needed.
• An annual license lasts for the year you paid for and renews unless you cancel. A lifetime license doesn’t expire.
• A license is for you, not for sharing, and works on one PC at a time. The app checks it with cleanyourmedia.com from time to time. You can move it to another PC from “Your license”.

Payments and refunds

Stripe sells Squeaky as our merchant of record: it takes payment, handles sales tax, and sends your receipt. Tax is shown at checkout. If you’re not happy, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying and you’ll get a full one. A refunded license stops working.

No warranty

Squeaky works hard to catch every word on your list, but speech recognition isn’t perfect and it may occasionally miss one or mute something it shouldn’t. The software is provided as is, without warranty, and to the extent the law allows we aren’t liable for how you use it or for what it misses.
